Features
Consider some of the many features below
• Acquisitions
• Catalogue
• Circulation
• Reports
• Stocktake
• Serials

Wizards
e-Library provides a number of tools to assist the new or novice user to use the product without any training. This is particularly important for a host of library patrons needing to search the catalogue for the first time. The wizards are not only intuitive but assist with revealing the contents of the collection in an orderly and logical manner.

Acquisitions
The Acquisitions module is one of the entry points to populate the database. All material purchased by the library can be ordered through this module. This includes, but is not limited to, books, periodicals, audio visual equipment, furniture, stationery etc. - the list is endless. This module has its own financial parameter which includes comprehensive department budgeting and purchasing controls.

Catalogue
The catalogue database is very exhaustive and is bottomless. Apart from the normal detailed bibliographical database, it includes extra features for storing and retrieving other non-standard bibliographic data like images, audio tracks, video tracks with audio, Internet links, asset registers for high cost items, etc. There are four different catalogue interface screens to enable each individual user at each site to choose the interface they feel comfortable working with. One of the screens is totally configurable by the user to their specific layouts including font and colours.

Circulation
The circulation screen is intuitive and comprehensive. The librarian can go directly to any patron or catalogue item from this screen and add new patrons or catalogue items. The circulation modules is very detailed and totally parameterised. These parameters are very comprehensive and can be applied individually or by groups to catalogue or patron records.

Reports
There is a comprehensive report for every item of data stored in the database. All the reports come with a comprehensive set of selection criteria. All the reports are viewable on the screen by default and then the user has the option to print it, send it to a file or send it to an e-mail address. All the reports can be tailored to user specific requirements.

Stocktake
Keeping track of the assets of your library can be a monumental task. The fact that a lot of libraries do a count of their collection on an annual basis and close down the area being counted until the count is finalised is not only unproductive but reflects badly on the lack of services being provided by a service organisation. In e-Library your stocktake can be done on one part or the whole collection while the library is operational. This means no down time for the patrons and suspect or high transaction material can be continually targeted multiple times a year instead of annually when the loss could be substantial.

Serials
With a fully comprehensive serials package, e-Library allows for both the ordering/tracking of serials and the cataloguing of serial items. When cataloguing a serial items, unlike in some other library software available, users have the ability to allocate specific subject types only to a single serial item and not have this subject type connect to the rest of the serials in that family.
