NewsLetter January 2012
Welcome back to 2012! The years are going so fast and we are excited about all the new developments within Functional Solutions and TV4Education.com .
This year we are focusing on sharing knowledge. Teacher knowledge is often an underused resource but this year we are making sure that we help you share with other users and receive the benefits of sharing.
v-Library users may have heard about our new report request procedure. All requests will be submitted and reviewed. Requests that are approved will then be released to our whole customer base in the next v-Library upgrade. This is just another way that we are taking Teacher Librarian knowledge and sharing it with the whole user base to make sure that every user benefits from every request. More information about this is available at www.librarysolutions.com.au
TV4Education.com News
We aim to encourage knowledge sharing in both of our v-TV Libraries. Did you know that you can share content in our TV4Education.com database?
All you have to do is check the copyright agreement for the media you’ve selected (for the protection of you and your school). You can then upload content into the database. This can be viewed and downloaded under “User Upload” by all of our other TV4Education users.
Don’t worry if you don’t have the time to upload content because we will continue to record all free to air channels 24/7 for you to choose from. We have available over 60 Foxtel channels for you to request programs from, in advance. In our v-TV Digital Library we also have Vodcasts and Podcasts with educationally relevant content. These numbers are increasing and our database is growing daily.

Start of year procedures can be stressful so we’ve made using our services stress free. You can now access a full start of year webinar from our downloads page.
Go to http://faq.librarysolutions.com.au/faqdata/user this will prompt you for your unique username and password. If you don’t have this on hand please contact support.
In this area you will be able to view a list of links (from here you can also search our training materials).
To view Start of Year Procedures follow these steps;
[technotes_video] --> [e-Library] --> [year_rollover] --> e-Library beginning of the year and save to your computer or a USB.
This video will show you how to follow this process for both e-Library and v-Library, whichever system you feel more comfortable with.
