v-Library Multimedia

This version has all the functions and features of the full v-Library LMS plus all these new and exciting capabilities that addresses Digital Delivery, e-Books, Learning Objects, Podcast, Lesson Plans & Multimedia Streaming requirements of modern digital libraries.

In Summary, v-Library Multimedia will deliver all your Digital and Multimedia content automatically and transparently through almost any browser on virtually any network, to virtually any device (like Windows workstations, Apple workstations, iPhones, iPads, any other intranet or web connected browser devices).

It is very efficient and thin when using LAN wired and wireless networks on educational networks that are always competing for network bandwidth.

  1. Our ACE (Auto Catalogue Engine) technology is what really sets v-Library Multimedia, generations apart from all LMS, Digital and Multimedia Delivery systems. This technology just has to be seen to be believed.
  2. At any point in time you tell v-Library Multimedia to monitor a number of Digital and Multimedia repositories on the network as well as the wider enterprise including the larger WAN for the inclusion of data for the catalogue.
  3. When ANY kind of Digital Content is saved in these repositories, v-Library Multimedia will automatically CATALOGUE these items and make them available via the OPAC without any human intervention.
  4. The WEBOPAC will deliver via Internet Explorer, Safari or Firefox any Digital Item catalogued by ACE.
  5. All WEBOPAC items can be set to Download with “Save as” on the workstation doing the search.
  6. Multi media items can be set to automatically Stream on the workstation doing the search.
  7. When items are auto catalogued you can set up processes like automatically including copyright notices, automatically creating subjects and topics from stored directories including sub directory chains.
  8. You can also setup automatic processes to group specific digital object items as one catalogue record e.g. a lesson plan that specifies a number of digital objects that must follow a predefined sequence where the total sum of the objects in the group complete one lesson plan.
  9. ACE can be setup to catalogue all or selected resources from any Network Digital Repository.
  10. ACE will always adhere to Windows AD security protocols for all content on Local, Wide and Enterprise Networks globally across the web for an OPAC enquirer.
  11. v-Library Multimedia also has an additional level of library patron classification security protocols that libraries can implement if necessary. The underlining Windows AD security will never ever be superseded, circumvented or overridden under any circumstances.
  12. All items catalogued by ACE is automatically given a unique global web referenced URL. This URL can be called from any e-mail, web document, web page, learning management system that supports URLs, e-books and e-reference documents.
  13. All ACE catalogue records in v-Library can be further refined and annotated with unlimited authorized subjects, local subjects, unlimited notes which are not necessarily in the original source document so end users have a more wider terms of reference to the digital repository.
  14. Our DOC (Deliver on Creation) technologies can automatically service user request based on special interest registration by the user or special interest request by a coordinator, research manager or teacher. As specific interested content is catalogued by ACE, users do not need to keep checking, they will get notified automatically and have the content automatically delivered by e-mail if necessary.
  15. A major headache from a management perspective of digital content is how to keep track of ‘dead links’ and protect the collection from becoming unreliable with dead end URLs that no longer exist or temporarily unavailable. Our “DLM” (Dead Link Manager) is an automatic process that you set and forget and it will manage your dead links based on your specific set of management options.
  16. This is just a short list of some of the amazing functions of v-Library Multimedia.

If you represent an educational consortia, let us show you how we can take all your libraries and educational institutions you represent into the virtual digital age. We will show you how any digital item, especially learning objects, lessons and lesson plans regardless of its type, origin or physical location can be identified, classified and categorized automatically if necessary and transparently delivered to the appropriate end user. We can show you how this can be a totally automated and transparently integrated into any learning management system. Best of all because there is no purchase, license or acquisition cost you will be amazed at how cost effective it is to implement.
