Recently,
CSAQ's Executive Officer, Mr. Geoff Gay, attended
a workshop designed to introduce librarians and library
technicians to the wonders of FILMS 2000 ~ Functional
Integrated Library Management System.
The workshop was conducted by Functional Solutions,
a Melbourne-based company which is prepared to travel
anywhere in Australia to demonstrate, set up and maintain
FILMS . The EO was impressed with the user-friendly
program, which can be adjusted to meet each school's
specific needs and incorporate the new ideas from
elsewhere. FILMS 2000 is provided FREE to schools,
with the first year of maintenance and support costing
($1200 + GST), the second year ($715 + GST) for primary
and ($1045 + GST) for secondary. There would be a
fee for installation which is done only by FS. Give
